Obituary of Frances Dorothy Lackey

Funeral service for Frances Dorothy “Dot” Lackey, 62, of Munford, will be Sunday October 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Usrey Funeral Home. Brother Jack Washington will officiate and burial will be at Hopeful Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 PM at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. She passed away October 11, 2013 at The Village at Cook Springs. Dot was a native and lifelong resident of Munford where she graduated from Munford High School, Class of 1969. She was a member of Munford Church of Christ and she loved to read. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wiley Robert Conerly and Frances Dorothy Cole Conerly, husband, Harlan “Harley” Lackey, and brother, Robert Conerly. Her survivors include her children, Terry Shane Lackey (Terra), and Mandy Lackey Camp (Ray), grandchildren, Shanea Lackey Weldon, Chasity Lackey, Jesse Lackey, Hunter Camp, Sawyer Camp, Brody Lackey and great-grandson, Asher Weldon, brothers, Allen Cole Conerly (Deena), Steven Conerly, Bob Conerly, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeff Hughes, Brad Lackey, Mark Conerly, Justin Reynolds, Jackie Wideman, and Wayne Lackey. Honorary pallbearers will be The Staff of The Village at Cook Springs.

6:00PM to 8:00PM on Saturday, October 12th, 2013 at Usrey Brown Service Funeral Home Talladega (map/driving directions)
