Obituary of Freddie Doyle Harris

Mr. Freddie Doyle Harris 64 of Talladega passed away on Saturday November 30, 2024. A funeral service in his honor will be on Wednesday December 4, 2024, at 7:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel, with Andrew Durst officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm prior to services. Mr. Harris is survived by a son Dakota (Cody) Allen Harris (Anna); daughter Savannah Rubylynn Harris (Johnny); stepdaughter Atlanta Jaggs; three grandchildren James Allen Harris; LeAnna Rose Harris; and Waylon John Kelly. One brother Fredrick Harris (Jill); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. Mr. Harris was a native of Talladega but spent his younger years in Clay Co. At 18 he moved back to Talladega where he started his own family with whom he loved spending time with. Some of his hobbies included wood working, painting, and drawing. He was an avid Alabama Football fan, was employed with Talladega Castings for 27 years, then retired from Walmart in early 2024. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his mother Frankie Joyce Wilson Chappell, Father Fred Lumas Harris, sister Teresa Dorlene Harris, and grandbaby baby Harris (Cody Anna), and several other family members. The family request in lieu of flowers donations in honor of Freddie Harris to Usrey Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses. Usrey Funeral Home Talladega directing services.
