Obituary of William Todd Rorie

William Todd Rorie, originally of Pleasant Grove, AL, passed away November 27, 2024, at the age of 40.  In recent years, Todd had moved his residence to Logan Martin Lake in Cropwell, AL where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and hanging out with family and friends. Todd was an avid race car fan and had recently started racing cars with some of his friends. Todd was known for his witty sense of humor as well as his generous spirit.  Todd was literally one of those guys that would give you the shirt off his back.   Todd was a graduate of Auburn University and spent much of his working career in transportation/logistics.  Todd was preceded in death by his mother, Becky Rorie.  He leaves behind his father, Bill Rorie, along with so many more family members and friends who loved him dearly.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM,Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City, AL.  Chapel service will follow at 7 PM.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, 1 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in Birmingham, AL. Pallbearers will be: Matthew Beard, Michael Youngstrom, Garrison Youngstrom, Kris Campbell, Chad Towns and Steve Davis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind in Talladega, AL and specifically to a fund Todd often gave to (The Christmas in July Endowment Fund).
