Mrs. Barbara McBrayer Stewart, 72, of Ashville, Alabama, passed away on October 31, 2024.

Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church Ashville. She was retired from serving as the librarian for the City of Ashville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stewart, and by her parents, Arthur Buren McBrayer and Nell McBrayer.

She is survived by her daughter, Candace Cato; sisters, Linda Majors and Ruth Roberts (Barry); granddaughter, Clayton Cato; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Ashville from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Monday, November 4, 2024.

A graveside service at Ashville City Cemetery will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, November 4, 2024, with Bro. Laney Bowman officiating.

Serving as pallbearers are Nathan Cone, Wayne Knight, David Murphree, Brad Smith, Mark Smith and Austin Wyatt.

Honorary pallbearers are the nurses and staff of The Olive Home and Lakeside Hospice.
