Obituary of Mason Paul Brand

Mr. Mason Paul Brand, 25, a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 136 and a journeyman electrician, passed away on October 25, 2024. Known for his passion, kindness, and energy, Mason brought light into every room and left a lasting impression upon everyone that he met. He was a fan of The University of Alabama football. Fitness and well-being were also close to his heart; he loved going to the gym, where he dedicated time to staying active and healthy. More than anything, Mason was a joy to his family and friends. His infectious life and joyful spirit filled every gathering with warmth and laughter, creating memories that family and friends will forever cherish. Mason was preceded in death by his father, Jason A. Brand, and by his grandparents, Paul D. Thornburg, E.B. Hanks, and Lou Gragg. He is survived by his mother, Sherry Brand; sister, Amanda Leopard (Dylan); niece, Preston Leopard; grandparents, Bobby and Linda Brand; girlfriend, Lucia Calhoun; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 3, 2024. The funeral ceremony will be held at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City at 11:00 am on Monday, November 4, 2024, with Pastor Jason Ellen officiating. Interment will be at Springville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Dylan Leopard, Cody Deason, Justin Mendoza, Rik Ritch, Don Leopard, and Bryant Allen. Condolences may be offered online at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
