Robert Irwin,73, stepped into Glory, October 25th, 2024, surrounded by his loving children. Funeral services will be October 29th at 2:00 PM at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Ricky Burke officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Born November 24th, 1950, a native of Talladega, he lived in Bemiston for 45 years. In his younger years he helped with multiple family businesses including the news stand, Irwin Grocery and ran the Family Skating Rink. He could skate with grace like no other. He graduated from Talladega High School and achieved his bachelor's degree from JSU where he went on to be a successful accountant for many years. He then opened his own appraisal business, Irwin Appraisal Services, where he retired.

He loved spending time with his family and friends or sitting by the lake where you would be sure to hear a story or two. He loved his children, grandchildren and family unconditionally, that love will always be felt.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Glennie Irwin, brother Bernard Irwin, sisters, Mary Lynn Irwin and Donna Barton.

Survived by his children Daughters, Lee (Marty) Wadsworth, Lindsey (Donnie) Harrison. Son, Rob (Pam) Irwin. Sister: Susie (Pat) Forrester, Grandchildren: Sean (Jessica) Wadsworth, Darby (Sawyer) Gowen, Zan Irwin, Jesse Kelley. Cash Kelley and 6 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sean Wadsworth, Sawyer Gowen, Kyle Payne, Antony Wesley, Jadee Hubbard, Dennis Pounders

In lieu of flowers the family asks any donations and prayers be made to those and their families battling dementia. Usrey Funeral Home Talladega will direct services.
