Robert Wayne Barber, 77, of Talladega, AL passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with David Weir officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Barber was a native of Talladega and graduated from Talladega High School in 1965. He was employed at Talladega Electric for forty-one years. Wayne was a member of Victory Church where he was a part of the Serve Team. He enjoyed reading his Bible and playing practical jokes on others. He was a very humorous family man who cherish time spent with his family and friends. Mr. Barber was also an avid University of Tennessee football fan. He was a devoted and loving husband and father who will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Barber, sister, Faye, and brothers, Larry and Mac, who he is now reunited with.

Mr. Barber is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sherry Barber; children, Amy Patterson (Clark), Mark Barber (Tina), Allyson Bass, and Dakota Barber (Anna Williams); grandchildren, Holli Patterson, Kathryn Patterson, Chase Barber (Lauren), and Bayleigh Boyd (Kaleb); great-grandchild, Halle Barber, and a host of nieces and nephews.
