Obituary of Robert "Rob" Carl Tucker

Robert “Rob” Carl Tucker, 48, of Oxford, AL passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 06, 2024 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Joey Bentley officiating. His family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Mr. Tucker was a native of Munford, AL but spent most of his life in Oxford. He graduated from Munford High School in 1996. He was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church Dearmanville Campus, and he was employed by an engineering group at Honda Manufacturing of America. Rob was also a part-time radio producer at 97.9 WVOK and worked security at Talladega Superspeedway. He enjoyed drawing and designing things, tinkering in his shop, spending time with his family and friends, and watching his daughter, AnaKate, dance. Mr. Tucker was also an excellent roller-skater which is how he met his wife, Alicia. He was a friend to everyone. He never met a stranger and would talk to anyone. He was a funny man who could always make anyone smile with one of his many dad jokes, and he had a deep love for animals, especially his dog, Shrek. Mr. Tucker was an exceptional son, brother, nephew and uncle who cherished his large family, but his wife and daughter were the center of his world. He was a very loving, dedicated, and incredible husband and father who always took care of his family and put them first. He will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Tucker, and his stepfather, Dub Nolen. Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife of twenty three years, Alicia Tucker; daughter, AnaKate Tucker; mother, Shirley Nolen; sisters, Stacy Braden, Sunshine Tucker, Abby Owens, and Anna Wright (Craig); brothers, Michael Worrell (Haley) and Christopher Worrell (Kaylan); mother-in-law, Karen Mahan (Tim), and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends which he loved dearly. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Tucker’s family asks that donations be made in his memory to the account they have set up for his daughter, AnaKate Tucker, at AOD Federal Credit Union.
