Obituary of Benjamin Jack Teddy Joe Hansen
Please share a memory of Benjamin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jack fought courageously in a difficult journey to overcome his numerous health issues. Despite spending much time in and out of the hospital and finally in hospice care, he never lost his sense of humor, his love for others, and his determination to win the battle.
Benjamin Jack Teddy Joe Hansen passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Galbraith; father, Robert C. Hansen; and mother, Mary Cotton
Jeffcoat.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Hansen; and sons, Walker Hansen (Julie) and Nicolas Hansen and a multitude of family and friends.
Jack loved DC and Marvel Comics and was sure to pass along those passions to his kids, niece, and nephews. He loved the great outdoors while enjoying 4 wheeling, fishing, hunting, and starting to raise honeybees. Recently, he started indoor gardening and was growing his own lemon trees and other items. He loved listening
to his 120 hours and 4 minutes of Spotify music from his playlist-especially the 80s and was a proud owner of his own “Blockbuster” movie collection at his home. The fur babies at his home were a constant companion to him, even when he wasn’t always their biggest fan. From Albino Frogs to a Bloodhound, you never knew what he was going to have to help his family raise. Many could also find Jack listening to his Roy D. Mercer CDs and Rick and Bubba shows. To listen to these favorites, he spared no expense in any vehicle he owned to have a superior audio system. His relentless work ethic cannot be matched, and he provided for and ensured that his
family and many others were supported in their needs. He loved an All-Star breakfast from Waffle House, a triple with cheese mayonnaise only from either Whataburger or Wendy’s, and his Panera Rice Soup, and most of you have probably been offered a Lifesaver in the last few months. He kept Mt. Dew, Milo’s Tea, and milk companies thriving throughout the years. He was definitely a simple man who is loved by so many. He loved his family and friends, and you were blessed if he was part of your life. He was patient and loving to those he encountered. In these last few months, he struggled with many thoughts, frustrations, and feelings, but he knew that he would
be going to his heavenly home and embrace God’s healing in His will for Jack’s life.
