Mrs. Wilma Sue "Nana Susie" Castleberry, 73, of Pell City, Alabama, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 14, 2024. She lived a life marked by love, generosity, and an unwavering faith in God. Her life was a testament to her faith, her family, and her love for those around her. A devoted family woman, Nana Susie found her greatest joy in her home and the people she loved. She was known for her incredible culinary skills, ensuring that no one ever left her table hungry or empty-handed. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and comfort, where every meal was a reflection of her deep care for her loved ones. She was a loving wife, a nurturing mother, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandbabies were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She also had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her experienced her genuine kindness and affection. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Castleberry, and her parents, William Crump Sr. and Myrtie Margaret Crump. She was also the youngest of eight siblings of which her sister, Jeanette Smith, is the last survivor. Other survivors include her son, Jeff Morgan (Tina); daughters, Kim Campbell (Redbone) and Tracy Falkner; grandchildren, Jeffery Morgan, Miranda Champion (Jacob), Hope Williams (Kevin), Christopher "Beno" Campbell (Chelsea), Colby Campbell, Kayla Gray (Jarrad), Bronson Manning (Tiffany), and Hattie Payne (Skyler); and eleven great-grandchildren with two additional on-the-way. The funeral service will be held at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, with Bro. Vint Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 pmuntil the time of service. Following the funeral service, interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jeffery Morgan, Beno Campbell, Colby Campbell, Bronson Manning, Carson Morgan, and Jarrad Gray. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Williams, Skyler Payne, and Jacob Davis.
