Virginia Ann Haynes Obituary

Virginia Ann Haynes, 87, of Eastaboga, AL passed away on September 04, 2024. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.


Mrs. Haynes was a native and lifelong resident of Eastaboga. She graduated from Lincoln High School where she was a proud majorette. She was a long-time member of Eastaboga Baptist Church, and she enjoyed attending senior citizen dances. Mrs. Haynes adored her children and grandchildren, and she was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Big” Haynes; son, Paul Haynes; parents, Black and Virgie Gauldin; sisters, Jean Merkle and Martha Weaver, and brothers, Tommy Gauldin and Dick Gauldin.


Mrs. Haynes is survived by her daughters, Greer Cheatwood and Greta Bittle (Perry); grandchildren, Chris Cheatwood (Tracy), Ben Cheatwood, Drew Bittle (Kasie), Brooke Goodwin (Jordan), and Blake Haynes; great-grandchildren, Hannah Young, Cohen Cheatwood, Haleigh Goodwin, Caden Cheatwood, Jackson Goodwin, Dawson Bittle, and Matthew Bittle; brother, Joe Gauldin (Shelia), and a host of nieces and nephews.
