Donna Kay Reger passed away on the morning of August 24th. A celebration of life will be held in her honor at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at K.L. Brown Funeral Home in Jacksonville, AL with Craig Mattox and Boyd McGehee officiating. Her family will receive friends for thirty minutes prior to the service.

Donna was a devoted mother to her two girls. They were her purpose. Her first grandchild, Bailee Grace, brought her such joy. She was always there for the key moments in her life. It brought her such happiness to watch her grow into the young woman she is today. Her grandson, Jaxon Carter, brought her such happiness watching him grow into a young man and excelling in basketball and football. Donna received her bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University and a Master’s degree at New World College. Donna had a 25-year passion for real estate where she created one of the first teams in Calhoun County with her coworker, Dottie Clark. She was well respected and received in her career. In her retirement, she enjoyed sitting back watching her girls succeed in their careers, cooking, and watching Alabama football alongside her dogs which she adored.

She is survived by her daughters, Heather Danielle Reger and Amber Leigh McGehee (Boyd), and grandchildren, Bailee Grace Pritchett and Jaxon Carter Pritchett.

She is reunited with her beloved mother, Nanny Ruth Lloyd, who proceeded her in death.

She will be greatly missed, but heaven gained an enormous laugh. Alabama football games will not be the same without her.

In lieu of flowers, her family has asked to please donate to the Calhoun County Humane Society.
