Evelyn Christine Taylor, 86, of Talladega, AL passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Bemiston Baptist Church with Jerry Colquett officiating. Her family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Taylor was a native of Bessemer, AL but was a resident of Talladega for most of her life. She was an employee of Bemis Textiles for 10 years before retiring from AIDB after over 30 years of service. She was a member of Bemiston Baptist Church where she will be greatly missed for many reasons, but mostly for organizing meals for bereaved families at the church. Ms. Taylor was a skilled gardener and amazing storyteller who always found a way to captivate anyone who was listening to her. She was the epitome of a selfless woman who was always doing things for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert C. and Lorene Taylor; sister, Bonnie Walton; brother-in-law, Jackie Walton, and nephew, David Walton.

Ms. Taylor is survived by her niece, Lisa Walton; great-niece, Lacie Hawk (Austin); great-great nephew, Knox Hawk, and a host of cousins and many treasured friends.

Chris Franklin, Bert Haynes, Alan Davenport, Donald Mitchell, Terrell Buckner, and Blake Pressley will serve as pallbearers.

Alan Nunn, Jimbo Hardin, Travis Ray, Scott King, George Bishop, and Dan Kearley will serve as honorary pallbearers.
