Mrs. Patricia June Stribling, 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Patricia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was born in Batesville, Mississippi on December 23, 1942, the daughter of Tommy and Edna Mae Walker Jones. Patricia went to her eternal home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 with her family by her side. She was raised in Blytheville, Arkansas and married her first husband, Richard Branscrum, who passed away in 1972. She went on to marry Tommy Joe Stribling in 1978. They lived a beautiful life in Blytheville, Arkansas and owned Stribling Electric Company. After retirement, they moved back to Water Valley, Mississippi and lived there for more than twenty years until Mr. Stribling passed away in 2023. After his passing, Patricia then moved back to Alabama with her granddaughter and family.
Patricia enjoyed going out to eat, singing, laughing, and living life to the fullest. She loved fishing with her late husband and enjoyed eating crappie from their latest catch. She was a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church in Water Valley, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Stribling; son, Richard Branscum; parents, Tommy and Edna Jones; sisters, Francis Rounsville and Joann Draudt; brothers, Tom Jones and Billy Jones; stepdaughter, Susie Hyman; and granddaughter, Lindsey Branscum.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Darlene Branscum; stepchildren, Patti Lauer (Stacy) and Steve Stribling (Sandy); grandchildren, Blake Wyatt (Lacey), Rossi Pruett (Adam), Dalton Pruett (Meagen), Alex Edwards, Libby Branscum (Bailey), Cara Branscum (Hunter), Betsey Stribling, Ellen Stribling, Greg Stribling, Steven Stribling, John Stribling, McKinsey Branscum, and Sydney Branscum; thirteen great-grandchildren; and nephew, Jerry Rounsville.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on August 24, 2024, at Sylva Rena Baptist Church, 1760 Highway 32, Water Valley, Mississippi, immediately followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
