Lawana “June” Everett, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 4th of 2024, at home in Ashville, Alabama.

June was born in Beacon, Tennessee, on October 31st, 1931, to Marcus DeLafayette and Anna Letha (Alexander) Graves.

June is survived by her son, Max (Lewana) Hays in Dyersburg, TN; grandchildren, Jonathan (Angie) Jackson and Katie (Kevin) Hanson in Ashville, AL; and great-grandson, Levi Hanson; along with a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

June is preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Jackson; husband, James D. “Hoss” Everett; siblings, Nelda J. Fox, Josephine E. Ferguson, Howell F. Graves, Ray J. Graves, Milford A. Graves, and Barney M. Graves; and her parents, M.D. and Letha Graves.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shelby Kong’a, Sheyanne Trammell, Teresa Harden, Tiffany Coker, Hanna Phillips, Martin and Nancy Windham, and Lakeside Hospice.

There will be a memorial service for June at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City, AL. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

An additional celebration of life service will be held at a later date in Dyersburg, TN at Fairview Cemetery, her final resting place.
