Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Wilson

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Wilson, 88 of Talladega, will be Friday, January 16, 2015, at 2:00 pm at Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home. Rev. Turk Holt and Rev. Wayne Wilson will officiate and burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mrs. Wilson passed away January 12, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Wilson was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega and retired from Helen Keller School. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Wilson, daughter, Evelyn McKay, sister, Ola Mae Wilson, and brother, Stevie Burk. Survivors include one son, Wayne Wilson (Susan), two daughters, Charlotte Hubbard (Danny), Melissa Wilson, one brother, Colvin Burk (Jean), seven grandchildren, Natalie Hubbard-Baxter (Jeff), Brian East (Teresa), Kristi Wilson, Wes Wilson (Jamie), Lori McKay Gaither (Jerrod), Josh McCormick, Megan McCormick, eight great-grandchildren, Ashton East, Jaden East, Jaida East, Connor Gaither, Kensley Gaither, Karley Gaither, Ashby Wilson, Briley Wilson, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tommy Wallace, Larry Wilson, Phillip Champion, Josh McCormick, Bo Williams, and Josh Champion. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Haywood, Roy Champion, and Dennis Perkins.
