TALLADEGA, Alabama - Funeral service for Mr. Clarence (Mike) Henry Lau will be Friday, July 19, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home. The burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mike died Friday, July 12, 2024, at the age of 93. He was a native of Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army for 22 years. He was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was the son of the late Harry and Margaret Lau and was blessed with a large family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Mike was preceded in death by his wife Edna Highfield Lau, his daughter Connie Davis and the following siblings, brothers, Fred, Harry, Arthur, Timothy, and Terry Lau, sisters, Mary, Betty, Wilda, Harriett, Nancy, Bonnie, Jean, Margaret, and baby Lau. Survivors are his daughter, Vickie Myers of Danielsville, GA; son, Arthur Lau (Galena) of Bishop GA; and son-in-law James Davis of Winder, GA; sister, Anne Mahan of Arkansas and brothers, Ted Lau of Jonesboro, GA. and Sam Lau of Las Vegas NV. He had five grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. His Family will receive friends Thursday, July 18, from 5-7 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
