Erie Blake Gaither, 86, of Munford passed away July 12, 2024. Funeral Services for Mr. Gaither and his son Terry will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Stockdale Baptist Church. Their family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church Tuesday prior to the service. Kevin Jones and David Gaither will officiate the service.

Blake Gaither was a God fearing and loving man. He was an extremely devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was the type of man that when he is speaking, you stop and listen. You will either learn something or he will have you laughing.

Blake retired from the Anniston Army Depot after 33 years. His retirement opened up his time for his love of fishing and church. He was a lifelong member of Stockdale Baptist Church. Blake used his love for music and worship through singing in different groups and leading Music Worship for many years. He furthered his ministry as a Sunday School teacher and as a Deacon of the church. He was also a member of the Coosa River Baptist Association Carpenters for Christ, where he traveled to help build and rebuild other Church homes. Blake was loved and respected by many. He was a true treasure on earth that will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Celeste Gaither, sons, Kevin Wayne Gaither, Terry Blake Gaither, parents, Erie (Pete) and Pauline Gaither, and sister, Mary (Tootie) Roberts.

Blake is survived by his son, Mark L. Gaither (Deborah), grandchildren, Terry J. Gaither, Serra Gaither (Tiffaney), great-grandchildren, Austin, Hannah, Breanna, Fisher, Lakelyn, Madden, great-great granddaughter, Lainey, brother, John "Bunt" Gaither (Rachel), sister, Francis Curlee (Bo), and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Austin Martin, Jinky Roberts, Tommy Brewer, Cody Weldon, Landon Weldon, William Gaither, Jason Gaither, Jonny Curlee. Honorary Pallbearers will be Fisher Gaither, Madden Gaither, Tommy Curlee, Ron Hamilton.

Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the services.
