Marsha Shadrick Sellers, 75, of Munford, AL passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Mike Foreman officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the ceremony at Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sellers was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. She was a graduate of Talladega High School and Jacksonville State University. After teaching for 2 years, she became a stay-at-home mother to take care of her two sons, Chris and Brett. Later on, she spent several years substitute teaching at her boys’ school. She was an active member of Munford Baptist Church where she served as the secretary for many years. She was also a part of the Daughters of Ruth Sunday School Class which she loved very much. Mrs. Sellers enjoyed flower and vegetable

gardening, traveling in their camper, sewing, reading, and cooking, especially some of her mother’s favorite recipes. She was a humble, quiet woman of strong faith which she instilled in her family. Her grandchildren were her world and she loved them very much. She was a proud “Nana” and beloved wife and mother who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George “Skeets” and Ellen Shadrick.

Mrs. Sellers is survived by her husband of 53 years, Rickey Sellers; sons, Chris Sellers (Jennifer) and Brett Sellers (Blair); sister, Deborah Lawson (Wendell); grandchildren, Anna Kate Sellers, Todd Sellers, Brady Sellers, and Beau Sellers; lifelong best friend, Rebecca “Becky” Smith, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Phil Champion, Michael Lawson, Wendell Lawson, Mike Shadrick, John Trickett, and Scott Sellers will serve as pallbearers.

David Smith, Freddie Pierce, Ralph Gaither, Terry Swinford, James Dunaway, Doc Freeman and Ted Lackey will serve as honorary pallbearers.
