Obituary of Lou Ann Smith

Lou Ann Smith, 67, of Lincoln, AL passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Her family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Mrs. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. She worked at Palm Beach Textiles before retiring from Wal-Mart after 27 years of service. She enjoyed woodworking and reading. She also loved the beach. She was a hardworking and loving mother and grandmother who always sacrificed to make sure that everyone else was taken care of. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sanford Wesley Pruitt Sr., parents, Rupert and Doney Stewart, and siblings, Billy Stewart, James Brunnon Stewart, Nancy Gurley, Belva Smith, Bobby Stewart, and Geraldine Stewart. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Ricky Smith; sons, Wesley Pruitt (Codie) and Joseph Pruitt (Deidre); grandchildren, Jacob Pruitt, Rosie Pruitt, Jailyn Pruitt, Cameron Pruitt and Carson Pruitt; sister, Gay Lemons, and a host of nieces and nephews.
