Shirley C Horne,87, of Talladega passed away June 21, 2024 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, June 25,2024 at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega. Her family will receive friends Tuesday at Usrey Funeral Home from 12:30pm -1:30pm. Josh Sammons will officiate the service.
Shirley was retired as a bookkeeper from 1st Federal Bank, member of Bemiston and Mt. Olive Baptist Churches and a caregiver at Homeplace.
She is preceded in death by her son, Danny Horne, and parents John and Doris Cotney.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, LaJean Horne, sisters, Betty Newsome, Julia Smith, brother, Barry Cotney, grandchildren, Jamie Horne (Tessa), Justin Horne (Marrisa), Junita Horne, great-grandchildren, Jamison, Jocelynn, Jarrett, Jaxton, Lyric, Harmoni, and Rhythm.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Horne, Justin Horne, Barry Cotney, Jeff Newsome, Darryl Newsome, and Scott Pack.
A special thank you to New Beacon Southern Care Hospice and Beth Grey and LaKerria Taylor.
Usrey Funeral Home Talladega will direct the service.
