Ellis Clinton Jones, Jr, 70, of Talladega, Alabama passed away at his home on Thursday, June 20, 2024. A funeral ceremony be held in his honor at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Jeff Adams of Harpersville Providence Baptist Church officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Ellis was born in Talladega, Alabama to Ellis Clinton Jones, Sr. and Jean Arabella Robinson Jones on April 2, 1954. He attended Talladega High School and graduated in 1972. He worked as a purchasing agent for Georgia Pacific for 21 years and Masco Fabrics for 22 years. He enjoyed listening to music, playing his guitar, golf, NASCAR, and was a fan of Alabama Football.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Clinton Jones Sr.; mother, Jean Arabella Robinson Jones; brother, David Wayne Jones, and grandson, Troy Justice Ellis.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Ellen Keith Jones; daughters, Mandy Thornton (Patrick) and Jennifer Ellis (Obed); stepdaughter, Honey Brooke Adams; sister, Debbie Jackson (Ted); brothers, Ricky Dean Jones and Joey Clay (April); 4 grandchildren, Tanner Thornton, Cate Thornton, Searcy Ellis, and Harper Ellis, and a host of nieces and nephews.
