Obituary of Francis Marion "Mayo" Willis

Francis Marion “Mayo” Willis, 73, of Munford, AL passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Jenifer Baptist Church with Ray Camp officiating. His family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Willis was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County and graduated from Talladega High School. He also attended Gadsden State Community College briefly. He was a member of Jenifer Baptist Church. Mr. Willis was an avid fisherman and loved to garden. He was a loving husband, father, and “Pop Pop”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Mary Willis, and brother, John Allen “Al” Willis. Mr. Willis is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Willis; children, Dustin Willis (Anell), Nathan Willis (Angie), Tracy Willis, and Taylor Willis; grandchildren, Andrew Acton, Alyssa Acton, Adyson Acton, Chloe Willis, Hunter Willis, and Ava Willis; sister, Mary Ann Crowe, and a host of nieces and nephews.
