Obituary of Gloria Joy Cummings Henderson

Gloria Joy Cummings Henderson, 68, of Talladega, AL passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. A memorial service will be held in her honor at a later date. Gloria was born in Talladega, AL, however, she spent most of her life in Northeast GA. She graduated high school at Chattanooga Central High School and later received a Bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, Gloria went on to get her Master’s of Education at the University of North Georgia. She had a passion for special education, as she spent much of her time as a special education teacher and consultant. Afterwards, Gloria trained and certified others in childcare and special education. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daddy Bob and Mackie Cummings. Gloria is survived by her sons, Chad Henderson (Mandy), Craig Henderson (Maria), and Jason Henderson (Amber), and grandchildren, Luke, Kallie, Cole, Mason, Cullen, Hudson, Oliver, and Macklyn Henderson.
