He is a member of Eden Westside Baptist Church. He loved fishing, Alabama Football, and his family (especially his grandchildren). But, most of all, he loved Jesus. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Carden and mother, Helen Adair Carden. He is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Teresa Haisten Carden; daughter, Ashton Carden Stewart (Hunter); son, Caleb Thomason; grandchildren, LillieAnna, Willow, Anderson and Jaxson Stewart; brothers, Mike Carden (Sandy) and Jerry Carden (Pat); a host of nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews, who he loved dearly; and special family, Debbie Carden, and Terry and Sonya Wilson. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Dr. Ronald (Rock) Helms, Kim Clinkscales, Cathy Jennings (former staff) and all of his staff for unbelievable compassion and care over the years. Special thanks to St. Vincents St. Clair and St. Vincent’s Trussville Staff, Ascencion Home Health, Northside Apothecary, St. Vincent’s Medical Supply and all of the health professionals who cared for him and our family over the years.
