Obituary of Kathy Yvette Jackson

Mrs. Kathy Yvette Jackson, 72, of Ashville, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church as well as a member of the Jordan River Singers. She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Darden, and by her brother, Dale K. Darden. She is survived by her husband, Hoyt Jackson; daughter, Tammy Denise Cooper (Carl); sons, Steven Ray Jackson (Candace), Jimmy Dewayne Jackson, and last, but not least, her baby boy Richie Carl Jackson (Terrie Lynn); fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; mother, Sarah Yvonne Talley; sister, Kay Cox (Beaver); brother, Roger K. Darden (Annette); sister-in-law, Mary Darden; stepfather, Carl Talley; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends are invited to a singing service at Oak Grove Baptist Church #2 at Noon on Saturday, May 25, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. Ives Harris and Bro. Ricky Willingham. Interment will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be offered online at www.usreyfuneralhome.com. Usrey Funeral Home of Pell City is assisting the family.
