Obituary of Pauline W. "Polly" Talley

Pauline W. Talley, 94, of Talladega, AL passed away on Sunday, May 05, 2024. A graveside ceremony will be held in her honor at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Ricky Clark officiating. Mrs. Talley was born on March 20, 1930 in Lineville, AL. She was a resident of Talladega, AL for most of her life and was employed by Palm Beach Company for 33 years. Pauline delivered food for Meals-on-Wheels for several years. She was also a member of Central Baptist Church where she loved to sing and was active in the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard D. Talley; parents, Albert L. and Bessie M. Williams; three brothers; six sisters, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Talley is survived by her daughters, Sandra Mitchell (Fred) and Cathy Hardegree (John); son, Stephen Talley (Elaine); six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Linda Adair, Pattye Lipscomb, Audrey Shields, Stacey Colley, and Misty Barnes for taking care of her and being her special friends in the last years of her life. They would also like to extend their gratitude to Amedisys Hospice for the care provided to Mrs. Talley.
