Ellen Boswell Johns ,54, of Talladega, AL passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 after a long illness. A celebration of life will be held in her honor at Fire City Church, 461 Choccolocco Road, Anniston, AL 36207, on Saturday, May 04, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. Family will be received at the church at 2:30 P.M.

Ms. Johns was born on August 06, 1969 to Franklin and Faye Boswell in Anniston, AL. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, and sister. She was the organizer of the family for reunions and Christmas gatherings. She tried to keep everyone in line so that they wouldn’t forget. She loved her family, playing games, and spending time in Gatlinburg, TN trying to catch sight of black bears. She was a dedicated employee of Rose International for several years and truly loved her job.

She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Boswell; maternal grandparents, Grady and Alma Tims; paternal grandparents, Elon and Ruby Boswell; and a precious nephew, Taylor Chase Boswell.

Ms. Johns is survived by her daughters, Jayna Johns (Mallori) and Shelby Johns; mother, Faye Boswell; brother, Russell Boswell (Jennifer); sisters, Michele Boswell and Pamela Booker (Michael); two chosen grandsons, Sterling McKinney and Leland Manuel, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
