Larry Gene Lashley, 69, of Munford, AL passed away at his home on Sunday, April 21, 2024. His family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at the funeral home on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with Joey Peters and Rick Clark officiating. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Lashley was a member of Central Baptist Church. He retired from the State of Alabama as a meat inspector after 25 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Merril Lashley.

Mr. Lashley is survived by his wife of 29 years, Donna Lashley; mother, Ruth Lashley; brothers, James “Jimmy” Merril Lashley (Ginger Lashley) and Bobby Wayne Lashley (Rebecca Merrell Lashley); 2 nieces; 2 nephews, and a host of great-nieces.

Morgan Lashley, Trey Lashley, Brooke Johns, Jason Moore, Stephen Bates, and Caleb Love will serve as pallbearers.

Kevin Paris, Larry Williamson, and Alton Bates will serve as honorary pallbearers.

His family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff at Lakeside Hospice.
