Larry Machen Hickman, a cherished member of our family and a friend to many, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Nolan Hospital in Anniston, Alabama. He was 77 years old. Born on July 9, 1946, in Talladega, Alabama, Larry was the son of Otis and Edna Machen Hickman. He was a graduate of Talladega High School, a Boy Scout and worked with the family business, Hickman Plumbing. Larry loved Alabama football, the beach, hunting, fishing and his church, Trinity United Methodist. He was a lifelong resident of Talladega.
Larry leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter for his numerous extended family and dear friends. The family is thankful for the caregivers that supported Larry in recent years. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 23rd at Pine Hill Memorial Park, Highway 21, Section One, Lot 205. Reverend Bob Owens, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Talladega will officiate. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct services.
