Obituary of Stephen Lindsey Day

Mr. Stephen Lindsey Day, 71, of Moody, Alabama, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. Mr. Day was a native of St. Clair County, Alabama. He loved model trains and tractors. He was a member of Fairview Freewill Baptist Church where he served for many years as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Moody Masonic Lodge #592. He was retired from PEMCO after serving over twenty years as an aviation mechanic. More than all of these things, he was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Day, and by his parents, Vorgin and Geneva Day. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Day Irwin (Jeremy); son, Ronnie Day (Stephanie Spence Day); grandchildren, Hudson Irwin, Vier (Katlyn) Irwin, Josie Day, and Samuel Day; brother, Allan Day (Tracy); and sister, Diane Garrigan. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City from Noon until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024. A funeral service will be held at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, with Bro. Tommy Wright officiating.
