I remember Mr. Cooper from Bemiston Baptist Church. He had such a tender heart toward missions. The world would be a better place if there were more people like him.

Our hearts are sad, Jay, Rebecca, Grands/Great-Grands and Sandra, to know Jerry is not with you, however, he is so very happy with his Lord and Savior, his Carolyn, parents, siblings and friends. Asking God to give each of you His peace, comfort and strength for now and for days ahead. He is a loving, gracious God who never makes mistakes.
In Christ,
Liz Grissett

i will always remember the flight that jerry and i made to auburn in october of 1982 to see auburn play maryland .......jerry had not flown before and he wanted to know if he could chew his tobacco on the way to auburn.... his wife told he better go with me or she would not let him get back in the house...not to mention the number of times we played golf together.
he was a true believer in his lord and savior jesus christ.... i am sure what the scripture says... to be absent of the body is to be present with the LORD..
we know where jerry will spend eternity.......ameb

Mr. Cooper was one of the kindest and a true southern gentleman. Years ago I was trying to get out of the rain while carrying my first child into the store when Mr. Cooper ran from behind and reached and got the baby carrier and held his umbrella over my baby and me. By the time we got to the store he was drenched but it didn’t matter to him all he was concerned with was that we were dry. I’ll never forget how sweet it was and his precious smile. He was such a Godly man and will be missed!

Jerry Cooper (no relation) was a kind, good, Christian man who always had a smile on his face and good will toward everyone in his heart.
He sincerely, wanted the best for his family and friends, and for his town. I'm glad he got to represent Talladega as our mayor.
He will be sorely missed around town, but I will always remember his smile, his kind heart, and the work he did to make our town and our world a better place.

Mayor Cooper was a good man and he loved the people of Talladega. He was a tireless supporter of AIDB and never missed an opportunity to show his respect for Talladega’s Deaf, blind and DeafBlind community members.
May Mayor Cooper Rest in Peace and May his memory continue to be a blessing tk his family.
