Mrs. Patricia Sue “Patsy” Weaver, 79, of Pell City, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, after a brief illness. Patsy was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at Valley Hill Cemetery in Pell City, Alabama, on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Daniel of Arbor Baptist Church officiating.

Patsy was born on May 18, 1944, in Fayetteville, Alabama to Laney Lafayette Rich and Channie Mae Evans Rich. She graduated from Childersburg High School in 1962 where she was a cheerleader. She worked as a nurse’s aide at the Martin Hospital in Pell City after high school where she met her husband, Jack Graham “Butch” Weaver. She also spent many years substitute teaching at schools in Pell City. Patsy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very active, and she loved to crochet, garden, and cut grass. Her cat Tippy, who recently passed away, was very special to her. She loved talking to and spending time with her friends and loved her Auburn Tigers.

Patsy is survived by her three children, Connie Weaver Cook (Dexter) of Pell City, Jacque Weaver Owen (Darrin) of Pell City, and Randall Graham Weaver (Stacey) of Pell City. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Bowling and Georgia Faye McGhee, her brother, Darrel Rich (Alex), and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nickie and Charlie McKee. Patsy was blessed with seven grandchildren, Grant, Jessica, Elisabeth, David, William, Shelby, and Aslen; and nine great-grandchildren, Chandler, Layne, Reese, Aldon, Callan, Adlee, Eleanor, Grayson, and Dekker; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Graham “Butch” Weaver; her parents, Laney Lafayette Rich and Channie Mae Evans Rich; and her brothers, Donald Rich, James Rich, and Baker Rich.
