Obituary of Ralph Raymond Gilliam

Mr. Ralph Raymond Gilliam, 71, of Pell City, Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024.
Mr. Gilliam was retired from Warren Construction as a Superintendent for fourteen years. Previously, he worked as a brick mason for over forty years. He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He also was a very devoted family man and loved his family most all. He was a member of Eden Westside Baptist Church and was faithful in his Christian walk.
Mr. Gilliam was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Gilliam; sister, Rose Dowden; and brothers, Ron Morton, Bill Morton, and Kenny Gilliam.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Gilliam; daughters, Alecia Henninger (Thurman) and Tracy Hosmer (Robby); grandchildren, Quint Henninger (Kristen), Blake Henninger, Shelby Killian (Michael), Baylee Duck (Dakota), Morgan Hosmer, and Reese Hosmer; great-grandchildren, Lyrick, Libby, Sawyer, Huxley, Harper, and Langston; sisters, Sandy Patterson, Mary Jo Horton, Peggy Hamilton, Peggy Landrum, Mary J. Shellman, and Catherine Evans; and brothers, Russell Gilliam, Larry Gilliam, and Mike Morton.
There will be a private family only viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024, with Bro. Bill Ayres, Bro. Jacky Connell, and Bro. Thurman Henninger officiating. Interment will be at Cook Springs Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Morton, Larry Gilliam, Rusty Gilliam, Ricky Morton, Quint Henninger, and Thurman Henninger.
