Tommy Doyle “Big O” Davis Sr., 80, of Talladega, AL passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 06, 2024. His family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Friday, March 08, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at the funeral home on Saturday, March 09, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with Roger Hayes officiating. Interment will follow directly after the service at Midway Memory Gardens.

Mr. Davis was a very hard worker who took pride in all that he did. He started out in the flooring business in Atlanta, GA before starting his own business, Davis Carpet, in Talladega, AL in 1968. Mr. Davis proudly ran his business for 41 years before passing it down to his sons when he retired in 2009. He was a very generous and giving person who loved to help people. His family was very important to him, and he was especially close to his only sister, Elaine. He was a wonderful husband and father who loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and other family members very much. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.V. and Myrtle Davis; brothers, Doug Davis, Hoyt Davis, and Charles Davis, and granddaughter, Whitney Davis.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra Davis; sons, Tommy Davis Jr. (Holt) and Terry Davis; daughters, Pamela Davis and Angela Bishop (Jason); sister, Elaine Williams; 8 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Jason Bishop, Bryer Bishop, Jamie Cooper, Drew Cooper, Rodney Mayo, and Austin Davis will serve as pallbearers.
