Obituary of John Martin Butler

Mr. John Martin Butler, 74, of Hoover, Alabama, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Butler and Luckie Carden; brother, Tommy Butler; sister, Vicky Butler; and grandson, Elijah Smith. He is survived by his wife, Mary Butler; children, Kristin Long (David), Brittney Smith (Scott), and Zack Butler; grandchildren, Mason Smith, Emilee Lakey (Brandon), Lindy Johnson (Daniel), Chapman Smith (Ashlyn), Alyssa Long, Justin Long, and Izzy Butler; soon-to-be-arriving great-grandchildren, Baby Smith and Baby Lakey; sister, Tammie Raines; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024. Johnny was given the gift of life, through organ donation.
