Obituary of Hazel Ruth Hutto

Hazel Ruth Hutto, 95, of Munford, AL passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with John Trickett officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Eastaboga Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Hutto was a native of Munford, AL, but traveled during her husband’s time in the Navy. When he retired from the service after 30 years, they moved back home to Munford and built a house in which she was able to live out the rest of her 95 years. She was a member of Munford Baptist Church and loved her church family. She was an example of what a Christian woman should be and lived her life accordingly. Her compassion showed in her lifetime of caring for others from her husband, mother, and aunt, and raising four children. She was also very involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives. Her family was her most important achievement in life. She loved them dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ralph Hutto. Mrs. Hutto is survived by her daughters, Kay Hull, Kelly Gilmore (Alex), and Kathy Mosley (Timmy); son, Jerry Ralph Hutto (Linda); brothers, Roy Malone (Martha), sister-in-law, Helen Malone; grandchildren, Rusty Hutto, Lisa Huskey, Kim Ladd, James Greer, Katelyn Hollis, Kelsie Gilmore, Kenlee Mosley, Aaron Mosley, Christian Mosley, Winter Kaelin, and Jimmy Mosley, and 15 great-grandchildren including, T.J. Hindley, Jordan Rickey, Avery Greer, Breelyn Hollis, Rylan Hollis, and Kolben Hollis. James Greer, Hunter Greer, Jake Hollis, Christian Mosley, Jimmy Mosley, and Anthony Gallagher will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Hutto’s family would like to thank everyone involved in the care of their beloved mother.
