Obituary of Virginia Charlton Moore

Virginia Charlton Moore, of Lincoln, AL, passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at the age of 93. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 17, 2014 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Larry Wimberly of Lakeside Hospice will officiate the service. Mrs. Moore was born December 27, 1931 in Desoto, Missouri, the daughter of Lilburn Ladd and Elizabeth Mae Ladd. She later lived in Mississippi before moving to Lincoln, AL 13 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husbands Donald “Bill” Charlton and Houston Moore, children Lilburn Ray, Wilburn Gene Charlton, stepsons Gene, Ronald Moore, sisters Jenna Ladd, Donna Kennon, and brother Edward Ladd. She is survived by her stepsons Billy Ray Moore, Dale Moore (Marie), stepdaughter Margaret Perez (Tony), daughters-in-law Linda Moore, Fay Moore, grandchildren Tracy, Valerie, Sheena, Shannon, Jessica, Deirdre, Brighid, Tonia, Sean, Ronald, Matt, Jamie, Benjamin, Rachel, Josh, Michael, and a host of nieces and nephews. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega is directing the service.
