Mr. William King Merritt, 85, of Pell City, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Owen Merritt and Willie Plummer Merritt.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Merritt; children, Rhonda Hayden (Bill), Sonya Moses (Jeff), and Tommy Merritt (Gina); grandchildren, Adam Hayden (Morgan), Hannah Shears, Haley Armbrester (Lucas), Holly Wood (Joseph), Hillary Turner (Victor), Sawyer Merritt (Kirsty), Stoney Merritt (Gracie), and Shepard Merritt (Alex); great-grandchildren, Landry Bradford, Emma Bradford, Sophie Shears, Evan Shears, Claire Hayden, Hawk Armbrester, Hayden Armbrester, Callie Turner, Charlee Turner and Crue Turner (arriving soon), Hattie Grace Merritt, Evelyn Merritt, and Josiah King Merritt; sister, Ann Roberson (Rayburn); and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
The graveside service will be held at St. Clair Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
Serving as pallbearers are Adam Hayden, Sawyer Merritt, Stoney Merritt, Shepard Merritt, Landry Bradford, Lucas Armbrester, Victor Turner, and Joseph Wood.
