Obituary of Lillian Estelle Cox Savage

Lillian Estelle Cox Savage, 91, of Pell City, Alabama passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Lillian married John L. Savage at the age of eighteen and they were married for forty-eight years until the time of his passing in 1998. She was a homemaker and loved her six children and dogs. She played an important role in the lives of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Savage; son, William Savage; sisters, Dorothy Mae Crow and Nellie Louise Cox; and brothers, Norman Cox, SJ “Bud” Cox, Ed Cox, and Ray Cox. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Savage Halteman, Donna Savage, Lisa Savage Sims, and Inga Savage Carman; son, Richard Savage; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Teresa Steed. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City with Bro. Vint Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
