Dewey will be so greatly missed by so many who loved him and his smile. Bill and I loved sitting in the kitchen at church talking with him about family. I have a picture of me, Dewey and Mary Grimes on my fridge of us at church cooking and Dewey always came to see what we were cooking. He loved it when we cooked. We will miss you Dewey and we are praying for comfort for the family.

When visiting Aunt Bitt, Dewey played his guitar and she started singing with him. He could always make her laugh. It showed how much he loved her as she was struggling with dementia. He had a way to bring her memory back to enjoy the moment in time she was in. A memory I will always treasure.

Oh how we will miss Dewey, always a smile on his face and willing to help any way he could with anything. We had a lot of fun with him in the kitchen at church. I will never forget he would tell me “if you made that it is good” he loved to eat . I have that special picture of me and him and Ms. Mary on my refrigerator with the biggest smile in the world. Tell God we are coming soon Dewey and we will see you later.
Love, Bill and Kathy
Alexander

A funny story which Vicki knows, he was always getting popcorn from me at target in alabaster to the point where he called me popcorn everytime he saw me even when I started going to the same church he even tried to get a couple of his younger grandkids to call me that, I will truly miss him but I know he's completely healed and rejoicing with our Lord and Savior, until we meet again

From the first time I met Bro Dewey, he was very nice and polite, and always was anytime I talked to him. You could always count on Bro Dewey to be on the stage with the praise and worship team. He will be greatly missed. I know you’re playing the strings of the guitar. Love you Bro Dewey.
