Obituary of Joseph "Joe" Ray Hubbard

Joseph “Joe” Ray Hubbard, age 86, of Talladega, AL passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. A graveside ceremony will be held in his honor at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Midway Memory Gardens with Mark Geier officiating. His family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega from 11:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. prior to the service. Born in Talladega, Joe was a lifelong resident. He served in the Alabama National Guard for 12 years. He worked for 42 years in the textile industry at Bemis Manufacturing and Crown Textile. Joe enjoyed fishing, gardening, listening to and singing country music, sports, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Ray Hubbard; grandchild, David Hubbard; parents, Leonard Artillery Hubbard and Oma Lee Tucker Hubbard, and sister, Betty Hubbard Morrow. Mr. Hubbard is survived by his children, Delisa Lynn Hubbard Magouyrk (James), Kimala Joy Hubbard Rich (Jon), and Jeffery Scott Hubbard (Amy); grandchildren, Billy Ray Hubbard, Deanna Hubbard Cook, Chelsea Hubbard, Lashay Magouyrk Estes, Wesley Rich, Lauren Rich May, Lindsey Weldon, Ashley Oliver, Cole Oliver, a host of great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Gene Hubbard, and sisters, Rachel Hubbard Gaither and Joyce Ann Hubbard Ferrell. Jon Rich, Denny Hubbard, Bobby Hubbard, Mike Morrow, James Magouyrk, and David Estes will serve as pallbearers. Wayne Ferrell will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
