Danny Homer Jacks of Talladega, age 75, born on February 2, 1948, passed away on December 10, 2023. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Pine Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Bob Blackwell officiating. His family will receive friends at the mausoleum for one hour prior to the service.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Winnie Moncus Jacks.

He is survived by his wife Sharon, son Richard, and daughter Stephnie Blackwell, 2 grandchildren, Berkeley and Hudson.

Danny graduated from Talladega High School in 1966 and attended Gadsden State Jr. College and Jacksonville State University. He was employed by Mutual Savings Life Insurance Company as part of an insurance career that spanned 30 years. In later years, he enjoyed selling automobiles and operating DixieLand Auto Salvage.

Mr. Jacks was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Talladega and was part of the Kairos prison ministry. After relocating to Foley, Alabama in 2006, he was a salesperson for a heating and cooling company then enjoyed retirement spending time with family and friends.
