Mr. Roy “Rooster” Gene Kay, 74, of Ragland, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Macie Kay and Vera Lee Bice Kay; sister, Linda Gail Nix; and brother, James O’Neal Kay.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Ann Farwell Kay; daughters, Emily Hope Kay, Barbara Jean Blanchard (Richey), and Angela Leighann Ortega; sons, Justin Roy Kay, Jonathan Roy Kay (Judy), and Roy Alexander Kay (Gabrielle); twenty-one grandchildren; and brother, Steve Macie Kay (Betty Ann).
The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023.
The funeral service will be held at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, with Rev. Edwin Talley officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Baptist Cemetery in Ragland, Alabama.
