James Thomas "T-Tom" Hayden, 62 of Talladega passed away at his residence Saturday, November 11, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega. His family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 1:00pm on Saturday.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Hayden. He is survived by his father, James Warren Hayden (Connie), sisters, Linda Sanders (Gary), Cathy Kensinger (Bryan), brother, Ethridge Hayden (Lori), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family that he loved deeply, including his uncle Bill (Andy) Hayden who was his caregiver during his illness. He took special care of all the neighborhood children.
He was a devoted manager of the Piggly Wiggly in Goodwater. He has been employed by Baker Foods for the last 20 years. He loved Alabama football, gambling, fishing, and hunting.
His family would like to thank Coosa Valley Medical Center, Grandview Hospital and Aveanna Hospice for the care given to him during his illness. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the services.
