Philip Bennett Hare, 80, of Talladega, AL passed away in Birmingham, AL on Sunday, October 29, 2023. A graveside ceremony will be held in his honor at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, November 02, 2023 at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Kevin Jones officiating. Mr. Hare’s family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
Mr. Hare was a native of Ragland, AL but lived most of his life in Talladega. He was an insurance agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Company and retired after 40 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved his dogs very much.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth B. Hare.
Mr. Hare is survived by his daughters, Karen Mann Hayes (Todd) and Melanie H. Smith (David), son, Phil Hare Jr., and grandchildren, Samuel Anderson Mann and Addyson Elizabeth Smith.
