Obituary of Vivian A. Louallen

Vivian Andrews Louallen, 92, of Talladega, AL passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Kevin Nelson officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Louallen was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, and listening to her favorite gospel and country songs. She was an exceptional cook who was known for her famous coco syrup and biscuits which people would even travel from different states to enjoy. She was a mother in every sense of the word to everyone she met. No one ever entered her home without being offered a bite to eat or something to drink. Taking care of her children, grandchildren, and everyone else was her life’s mission. She was a loving mother and Maw-Maw who will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mancel Louallen, parents, Ira and Lizzy Andrews, brother, Amos Andrews; sisters, Lyjewel Cooper, Gladys Smith, and Bo Edmoniston; grandchildren, Steven Louallen and Tina Moss, and son-in-law, Robert Brewer. Mrs. Louallen is survived by her children, Jeanette (Doug) Crews, Jerry Louallen, David (Connie) Louallen, Patsy (Grady) Thrower, Connie Brewer, Myra (Jerry) Elmore, Linda (Chris) Welcher, Kenneth (Nancy) Louallen, Lisa (Chris) Hotsenpillar, and Tony (Mandy) Louallen, 33 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
