Mr. Clay Seaborn Cato, 65, of Ashville, Alabama, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Seaborn Cato and Peggy Clay Cato; grandparents, Jack and Ila Clay and Edward and Gertrude Cato; and sister, Jinx Cato.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Candace Cato; daughters, Heidi Cato and Clayton Cato; and son, Chase Cato.
The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City, with Rev. Mark Jackson officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are Skip Bell, John Bowlin, Tim Carlisle, Darryl DeWeese, Randy Sheffield, and Danny Wise. Honorary pallbearers are Brytney Cobia, M.D., Miles Cobia, M.D., nurses from Grandview SICU, and members of the 1976-77 and 1977-78 Ashville High School football teams.
