Mary Irene Wood, 65, of Talladega, AL passed away in Birmingham on Thursday, October 12, 2023. A graveside service will be held in her honor at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo with Charles Ponder officiating.
Mrs. Wood was a native of Gary, Indiana. She lived in Talladega until July of 1976 when she married her husband, Mark, and became a Navy wife. They moved back to Talladega in 2007.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver C. Horn.
Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Mark Wood; mother, Mary Nixon Adair; sons, Marcus Wood and Jeff (Terri) Wood; brothers, David (Toni) Horn and Stephen (Tammy) Horn, and grandchildren, Kyle Wood, Bayden Wood, Gracie Wood, Carson Wood, Maddox Wood, and Bently Wood.
