Obituary of Frankie Champion Freeman

Frankie Champion Freeman, 89, of Lincoln, AL passed away at her home on Thursday, October 12, 2023. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Dry Valley Baptist Church with Dr. Stanley Jett and Tony Hickman officiating. Her family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the services at Dry Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Freeman was a native and lifelong resident of Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952. She retired from the Anniston Army Depot, Talladega Superspeedway Ticket Office, and Freeman Service Company. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Dry Valley Baptist Church. She was a Godly woman who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Freeman; parents, Clarence and Lera Champion; in-laws, Wright and Viola Freeman, and an infant brother. Mrs. Freeman is survived by her children, Doug (Gina) Freeman, Warren “Cotton” (Maryleigh) Freeman, and Beverly (Jim) Brock; sister, Alline Vander Blom; sisters-in-law, Betty Johnson and Mary Lois Ingram; brother-in-law, Wayne Freeman; grandchildren, Nick Freeman, Leslie (Clint) Shaddix, Ryan (Joseph) Penton, Kasi Freeman, Justin (Courtney) Brock, Pat Brock, Alecia (Mike) Perry, and Will (Haley) Freeman; and great-grandchildren, Axton Freeman, Ian Pace, Tanner Penton, Corby Shaddix, Mason Brock, Gavin Brock, Levi Brock, Hendrix Freeman, Izzie Pace, Marlee Shaddix, Kenadee Tankersly, Macy Tucker, Gracie Perry, and Morgan Perry.
